Medical Visa Services: Simplify Your Healthcare Journey to Thailand
Planning to visit Thailand for medical treatment?
Thailand is rapidly becoming a global center for healthcare tourism due to it's world-renowned, affordable private healthcare system, both general and cosmetic. Generally patients will enter on a tourist visa, however, some longer term treatments require a different type of medical visa. This can be applied for both outside and inside the country.
What is a Medical Visa?
A medical visa is designed for individuals seeking medical treatment in Thailand. It allows patients to stay in the country legally for 90 days while accessing healthcare services - there are separate visas available for family members to accompany patients as well.
Medical visas for patients already in Thailand are also available, some hospitals handle this for patients, however some do not. These visas are slightly different, with length of time depending on the immigration doctor's decision, with a maximum of 90 days, extendable upon expiration again depending on the immigration doctors decision.
What You’ll Need to Apply
The information and documentation required varies depending on your local embassy, however generally applying for a medical visa OUTSIDE of Thailand requires:
A valid passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining
A completed visa application form
Recent passport-sized photographs

Proof of financial means to cover your treatment and stay
Travel and accommodation details
If you are already INSIDE Thailand to apply for or extend your medical visa requires:

Copies of all passport pages
A completed visa extension form.

Recent 90-Day Report
Recent passport-sized photographs
A letter from a recognized Thai hospital or medical institution confirming your treatment details and need for staying in country
