Visa Extensions
Need to extend your visa to stay longer in Thailand? The process can be complicated, with strict documentation requirements and tight deadlines. Incorrect applications can lead to visa rejection or the risk of overstaying.
Let me take the guesswork out of the process.
Why It’s Important
If your extension application is denied, you’ll need to leave Thailand immediately or face fines and even criminal charges. Incorrect submissions can also result in delays, forcing you to leave and reapply from another country.
Generally, unintentional overstays of a few hours/days are easily resolvable by paying a fine directly at the airport, however any longer OR if you are arrested before attempting to exit the country, the scenario is much worse, and you will likely be prosecuted and taken to the Immigration Detention Centre, go through a lengthy legal process, pay a significant amount and then be deported.
If you overstay more than 90 days you will then be banned from re-entering for a period of time, the longer you overstay the longer the ban.
