Tourist Visas, Visa Exemptions, Visa On Arrival
Important
Tourist visas can only be applied for outside of Thailand, while extensions are handled inside Thailand—I can help with both.
Want to Visit Thailand?
My home country of Thailand is one of the most visited countries in the world—and for good reason. Stunning beaches, modernity meeting classical history, and food that’ll have you coming back for seconds (or thirds, or fourths!).
Types of Tourist Visas:
Single-Entry Tourist Visa:
Valid for a stay of up to 60 days.
Allows a one-time entry to Thailand.
Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa:
Valid for six months, allowing multiple entries - recommended for backpackers.
Visa Exemptions:
Stay up to 30 OR 60 days without a visa for eligible passport holders.
Extendable for an additional 30 days with my assistance.
As of July 15, 2024, many nationalities are eligible for a 60-day visa exemption upon arrival. This means you don’t need a tourist visa. Eligible countries include:
60-Day Visa Exemption Countries:
Albania, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bhutan, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Mongolia, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.

(*Countries/Territories also eligible for the 60-day visa exemption scheme.)
However, if your nationality isn’t on these lists, you have an unusual travel history, or you’re planning a backpacking trip around Southeast Asia, you’ll need a tourist visa for entry or longer stays—either a single-entry or a multiple-entry visa.
What’s a Tourist Visa, Anyway?
A tourist visa grants you permission to stay in Thailand for leisure and non-commercial or work-related activities for the duration of the visa. It’s not the same as a visa exemption or a visa on arrival.
What You’ll Need to Apply
Applying for a tourist visa requires:
A passport with at least 6 months’ validity.
A completed application form (I can assist with this).
Recent passport-sized photos.
Proof of sufficient funds for your trip.
A confirmed travel itinerary (e.g., flight tickets and accommodation bookings).
